Who We Are

The Young South Africans for a Christian Civilisation (TFP) was born of a group of Catholic South Africans concerned about the multiple crises shaking every aspect of South African life. Founded in 1982, the Young South Africans is part of the family of autonomous organisations for the Defense of Tradition, Family and Property (TFP) that exist in many countries throughout the world (see links)

The South African organisation was formed to resist, in the realm of ideas, the liberal, socialist and communist trends of the times and proudly affirm the positive values of tradition, family and property.

Central to the TFP mission is the idea that the various crises threatening society and the Church cannot be seen as separate and disjointed. Rather they originate from a single cause. The TFPs base their action on this idea contained in the book, Revolution and Counter-Revolution by Plinio Corrêa de Oliveira.

The Young South Africans do this through books, publications and newspaper advertisements help bring these views to the public. Moreover, the TFP is not afraid to take them to the streets with colorful sidewalk campaigns in major cities.

One major outreach of the Young South Africans is its South Africa Needs Fatima campaign. This nationwide campaign provides a variety of actions and devotional materials. By spreading the Fatima message, the campaign helps provide solutions to so many of the nation’s problems.
